Valentine Day Gift : It’s all about Romance and Love
admin January 11th, 2009
Every year Valentines Day comes on February 14th. It’s a special holiday just for Lovers to celebrate love.
Starting early in January we start being inundated with television and radio ads about getting the perfect, most romantic gift. But that leaves the question, what is the perfect gift?
Is it the biggest bouquet of roses, the huge box of expensive chocolates or the most expensive candlelit dinner at the best restaurant? Or better yet, how about a piece of glittery jewelry?
All of these things are nice, they’re just not very romantic. Even the most unromantic person can go to the nearest jeweler or flower shop, whip out the credit card and spend what they hope will impress their lover.
Don’t get the wrong idea. In and of themselves those things can be a part of the Valentines Day experience, they just shouldn’t be the entire focus.
Your inner romantic needs to be allowed to express itself if you truly want to make Valentines Day a memorable occasion. To accomplish this, you’ll want to try a some other tact. To do that you need to invest some time finding the best ways that you can express your love in a unique fashion to that most significant person in your life.
You can start the day with a single red rose and a short love note next to them when they waken. The note doesn’t have to be poetic or perfect prose, it just needs to be sincere. Think about the things that this person has done for you, the ways they have enriched your life, the good times you’ve shared and the bad ties when they stood by you. Just tell them what an important part of your life they are.
Ask yourself if there is something that your Valentine has been trying to get you to do or try? Valentines Day would be a fantastic time to do it, with them. Have they been trying to get you to exercise with them, go for a long walk, take a dance lesson, see a special movie, try rollerskating or whatever.
The basic idea is that whatever you do doesn’t have to be super romantic. The romance will come from the fact that you have truly listened and tried to understand the one you love.
Then take them out to dinner and dancing, give them the flowers and chocolates and buy them some nice jewelry. After all, they are the love of your life!
